Hello everybody !

Long time no see, I know, it's really bad.. Well, as we say in French : No news = good news !!
Absolutely ! Everything is all right around here for me. I'm still in Birmingham, in the centre of the UK, my company is still very interesting, I'm still looking for the perfect band for me, and I always have fun with my friends..

So, Life is beautiful isn't it ? :-)

Today, I'll show you some pictures of my city, but unfortunately for you I prefer just display some strange and artistic ones. Why ? Because I want you to come and to discover by yourself that my town is not as ugly as everybody says....

We don't know what is "Magret" here, but we have ducks ! (Anybody has a shotgun ? :-)

In fact, only the walls are crying.. and I touched their tears... I'm so romantic !

Look at this blue sky ! It's the summer here ! (I just have my coat to impress you : I can resist to the warmest temperature in the world !!)

Even here, I'm a keen sportsman !! (what ? Golfing is not a sport ?)

Fortunately for me, other guys are REALLY practising sport : the France rugby team. And this time, against Wales : we (they) won ! Sorry for the bad quality of the picture...

Hey everybody !

Long time I know without an update on this blog.. I'm sorry :) So, what's up for you ? For me nothing very special for the moment..
- my work is still good, we're working on very interesting project, with a lot of different customers, and I'll have more and more work to do !
- I'm still looking for a rock band, and I have an audition with a good one this week, so let's jam !
- My flat is always so good, I have a new room and I'll show you it soon. I begin to fell good here.. slowly but safely ! I met different people, not yet english people (except in my work..) but from Portugal,Russia, ... It's quite easier to chat with them.

Allez cette fois-ci je vous la fait en français aussi :-)

Et bien tout va bien pour moi, je commence à me faire à ma nouvelle vie de l'autre côté de la Manche ! Le boulot se passe très bien, on commence à avoir pas mal de travail, et de plus en plus de client donc ça devient bien intéressant pour moi. La collocation se passe toujours très bien, on joue à la wii, on fait la fête, on bosse la semaine, que demande le peuple ?
Sinon je suis toujours en recherche d'un super groupe anglais de la mort qui tue, et je passe une audition cette semaine donc.. croisons les orteils !

Voili voilou de mon côté ! J'espère que tout va bien pour vous, et commencez donc à réserver des weekends, et surtout des billets d'avion en avance, pour venir me voir !!

(yes, I really like this way to say "hello" here :)

Well.. too many things to say, so I'll just talk about my roadtrip to Canterbury, cute city where Mathilde, my cousin, is living ! This is an old, and very charming town, in the south-east of England, with some city walls and a huge cathedral !

Hiya everybody !

This time I begin by the english text, to prove that I'm increasing my skills as well.. So, today, on monday, I just remember an awesome weekend, with a lot of parties and a lot of shopping ! We've been to the "Jam House" which is one of the best place in Birmingham, with lives each friday and saturday night. I've asked the players, but nobody knows a good band seeking for a bass player.. On saturday night we were in a french party, with a lot of friendly people ! But I haven't any pictures yet..

So, first, some pictures of the city ! Enjoy !

Aujourd'hui c'est vendredi !

Et le vendredi c'est Casual Friday !
Quel dommage que ce soit si peu répandu en France... En gros, pour les non-initiés : il s'agit simplement de venir le vendredi au boulot, habillé comme on veut (enfin presque !), du coup, à la trappe le costar : OUF !!

Dans la lignée des mésaventures extraordinaires du petit Sylvain, cette semaine : le voyage à Londres ! Et oui, pour une réunion avec ma mission économique, j'ai eu la chance et le privilège de passer quelques heures à Londres, la preuve :

For a meeting with my economic mission, I had to go there just some couples of hours... Great city, I hope I'll me there more often !

Cher journal,
ce matin, il faisait dans les -6 degrés à Birmingham et même que le sol c'était une vraie patinoire !! Sinon tout va bien, le boulot commence très très tranquillement, mon anglais tout pareil, par contre toujours pas de groupe en vue.. A croire qu'au pays du rock, les groupes se cachent dans les coins..

Grande tragédie ici : la crise grignotte lentement mais surement la devise anglaise qui commence sérieusement à battre de l'aile..

Vous n'y comprenez rien ? -->
moi non plus !

Mais en gros, la livre se rapproche très très dangerusement de l'euro (je suis plutôt gagnant dans l'ensemble !)

Enfin, cela ne nous empêche pas de vivre n'est-ce pas ? Et j'espère que les gens de l'autre côté de la manche "survivent" à la crise, hein ? :-)

Allez et comme je suis bon prince, je vais même vous rajouter d'autres petites photos de la ville qu'elles sont belles à regarder (et promis les prochains articles seront moins sérieux, namého !!)

Dear diary,
this morning, it was very very cold in B'ham (about minus 6 o_O) and so I should have taken my skis to go to the train station ! My installation here is getting well, a lot of work but my colleagues help me when I need it. But, it's a shame, in UK, I can't managed to find a rock band ! My goodness, where are you musician people ?? Above, you can read a lot a meaningless french words. I was just talking about the pound, which is almost equal to 1 € !! For the picture, I'm sorry if you don't understand, neither do I :-) !

A propos, mon numéro français ne fonctionnera pas entre le 1er janvier 2009 et le 1er janvier 2010. Appelez moi pour tomber sur mon super répondeur et ainsi récupérer le nouveau tout chaud :)

Et là vous vous dites : mais quel homme de gout ! n'est-il pas ? Enfin je dois ce charmant appartement très accueillant, en plein centre de Birmingham, à mon nouveau colocataire, dont je vous parlerai un autre jour !

Ci-gauche bien entendu : la cuisine (avec machine à laver, sèche-linge et ... lave-vaisselle !!!!

Dés mon arrivée à Birmingham, j'ai eut je dois l'avouer énormément de chance te tomber sur :
- mon nouveau coloc très sympa
- un appartement bien placé
- qui est tout neuf, tout beau et .. avec 2 salles de bain !
